The 2025 Work Deployment Meeting is Successfully Convened

On the afternoon of March 13, the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Sciences and the Institute WUT-AMU held a faculty-wide meeting to study and convey the spirit of theWUT's 2025 work deployment meeting and to outline the key tasks for the year. The meeting was attended by the leadership and all faculty members and was presided over by Han Tongyuan, Secretary of the School's Party Committee.

At the meeting, Dean Yang Xiaoyu conveyed the key points of President Yang Zongkai's speech at WUT's 2025 work deployment meeting and outlined the School's major tasks for the year. Dean Yang comprehensively reviewed the School's main achievements in 2024 and expressed sincere gratitude to all faculty members for their hard work and dedication over the past year. Dean Yang emphasized that in 2025, the School will continue to focus on advancing key tasks such as student affairs, undergraduate teaching, graduate education, discipline development, personnel and talent recruitment, academic research, and platform construction. Leveraging initiatives like the establishment of the Future Medical School, the application for a doctoral program in biomedicine and pharmacy, and the development of a national science popularization base, the School will further unify consensus among faculty members and anchor its direction toward high-quality development.

Party Secretary Han Tongyuan conveyed the guiding principles of Secretary Xin Sijin’s speech at the WUT’s 2025 work deployment meeting and outlined the Party Committee’s key tasks for the year under the theme “Party Building Leads the Way, Ensuring Implementation, and Uniting Efforts to Open New Horizons.” Secretary Han emphasized the need to:strengthen theoretical education and enhance ideological and political work, advancing faculty ethics and conduct; intensify cultural publicity, fostering an atmosphere of "National Rejuvenation, WUT in Action, and the School in Action", while refining the School’s cultural wall and website; consolidate grassroots Party building, deepen “integrated and high-quality development”, and drive high-quality advancement; prioritize political and ideological security, reinforcing campus risk prevention and laboratory safety.

Vice Deans Shen Lei, Xia Tao, Li Junsheng and Wang Chunmei, Deputy Secretary Ye Nan, and Vice Dean Li Li of the Institute WUT-AMU presented their respective summaries for the year 2024 and objectives for the year 2025, laying a solid foundation for the new year.

The meeting concluded with Dean Yang Xiaoyu signing safety and stability responsibility agreements with department heads and Party branch secretaries.
