On April 10, 2025,the final round of the “My Major, My Dream” speech contest was successfully held in the Academic Lecture Hall of the Chemistry and Life Sciences Building at theZuoYue Community.Students of Grade 2024 from our School and Institute of WUT-AMU participated in the activity,Department headsand facultyadvisors attended the event.
Eight student finalists took the stage to share their academic journeys in chemistry and biology—from classroom learning and scientific exploration to their visions for future careers.Judges engaged with each speaker by posing questions related to their topics and areas of study, and assessed their performances based on content depth, delivery skills, presentation style, and ability to respond spontaneously.
Following a rigorous final round, Yao Wenxin was awarded First Prize for her outstanding performance. Zhao Tianxiang and Luo Xumin received Second Prize, while Chen Xinyang, Guo Yiting, Wang Zhaoyu, Zhang Borui, and Li Jiaxing earned Third Prize honors.
The contest encouraged students to think critically about their academic goals and better define their future paths. Moving forward, the School will continue to strengthen discipline-based education, deepen subject-area development, and integrate personal growth with academic purpose—contributing to national efforts in building a strong talent base for both professional excellence and scientific innovation.
